I think the album is better than Souvlaki. Individual parts aren't complex but the songs are cleverly structured and tailored to individual band members strengths, combining to create an encompassing sound, energised through driving, melodic bass and layered guitar/keyboard surges. The vocals are honey in the mix, melodic, familiar, conveying humanity with harmonies perfectly placed and weighted, creating a restrained kind of euphoria.
